The Project
This 1960s home still had its original switchboard with ceramic fuses. While it had served well for 60 years, it couldn't provide the safety features modern homes need.
We replaced the entire board with a modern system featuring RCD protection on all circuits. This means if there's ever a fault, the power cuts off in milliseconds - potentially saving lives.
We also added surge protection to guard against power spikes that can damage expensive electronics, and upgraded the main earth stake to ensure proper grounding.
The new board has plenty of room for future circuits, so adding a heat pump or EV charger down the track will be straightforward.
